Comprehensive Childbirth Education

Study With Small Child

Naomi provides education during pregnancy to help you (and your partner) better understand the process of birth. During these prenatal visits Naomi discusses common terms used in pregnancy, labor and birth. You will dive a little deeper to understand how your body and baby work together to bring your baby earthside. Naomi brings her pelvic model, babydoll, and balloon to give you a visual understanding of how a baby travels through the birth canal. When you understand the process, you are better able to let go of the unknown and relax to allow birth to unfold. When a laboring mother is unsure of what is happening it is understandable for her to tense her birthing muscles. Through education and birth hypnosis you will be able to relax and release your body to allow your baby to descend down, through and out into your arms. We all have seen birth portrayed in movies and have heard of traumatic birth stories. Birth CAN be peaceful and serene. During your time with Naomi you will describe your ideal birth and together you will strive to make that a reality. The conversations you will have with Naomi and the information you will obtain will help to dispel your fears and you will gain a better understanding of what is to come. Naomi strongly believes in teaching women about their bodies, having a positive mindset, discussing options, and strengthening your voice about what you want for you and your baby. These discussions will help you make informed choices about your body and birth.
